In another life, she was Elita-1, an energetic, spunky Autobot Academy cadet. That was until a fateful trip to an alien world, where her teammates abandoned her to a horde of alien spiders. Now calling herself Blackarachnia, she hates her new body with a passion. Her loathing of her organic parts is slowly driving her insane, and she will do anything to get rid of it, no matter whom she has to crush in her path. Her mutation fueled a newfound hatred of the Autobot cause and a quest for revenge that led her to join Megatron in his war against them. However, she does not appear overly loyal to her leader.

In her hybrid organic form, she makes use of her newfound ‘cyber venom‘ to paralyze her enemies, and combines this with her natural ability to download and mimic other Transformers’ traits and weaponry for a limited amount of time with a simple touch. Hope nobody told Lockdown.

Blackarachnia acts differently around robots of the opposite “sex” depending on faction; she’s biting and sarcastic towards the Decepticons, but seductive and manipulative towards the Autobots. However, these appear to be but shells worn by a being who desperately wants to be normal again.

Mixmaster ( or “Mix” to his friends) seems to be the de facto leader of the Constructicons. Not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, he spends his time overindulging in oil and whistling at passing cars with his buddy, Scrapper. Mix isn’t a bad sort at heart, always willing to help a fellow ‘bot, but his moral compass is apparently guided by whoever’s got the best oil to offer. For all their seeming unsophistication, he and Scrapper still have an innate knack for construction-related activities. They can slap together a sturdy construct out of raw materials in seconds, and just by looking at a set of blueprints, even incomplete ones, they can tell just what’s needed to get the job done. In addition to the abilities he shares with his partner, Mixmaster can also createany number of chemical concoctions in the churning belly of his mixing drum.

Scrapper is one of the Constructicons. Once, he and his pal Mix were just a pair of construction vehicles, but a pair of AllSpark fragments changed all that. Though not the sharpest tool in the box, he does know construction like nobody’s business. Like his compadre, he has an innate knack for grasping construction projects, and upon seeing a set of blueprints can get right to work. He doesn’t want much out of life, just some oil to fill him up after a hard day’s work and maybe a nice car to catcall.

If mighty Megatron were to command Lugnut to jump, the powerful Decepticon would be in the upper atmosphere long before his master could specify how high. In Lugnut’s optic, bold, heroic Megatron embodies the Decepticon cause, and his devotion is total. It’s easy to misinterpret Lugnut’s blind zeal for a lack of overall processing power, but this is not the case. Although he isn’t much of a thinker or planner, Lugnut does not care, for wise Megatron is brilliant enough for a thousand Decepticons. His master makes the plans, and Lugnut carries them out. However, that blind loyalty is his weakness. Although innovative on the battle field, he does little thinking about anything else.

Besides his compulsion to serve Megatron, the only other driving force in his programming is to destroy the Autobots. Renowned throughout Cybertron as one of the most destructive fighters for the Decepticon cause, Lugnut has no time or patience for contemplation or strategy when he could just as easily level an entire Autobot battalion with a single explosive punch. He knows that his unparalleled strength, endurance, and seemingly limitless missile payload is enough to serve glorious, bold, fresh-scented, bright and shiny MEGATRON! Autobots that know him know the only way to survive a fight with him is to stay clear of his path.

He will only keep company with Decepticons who are as loyal to the grand and imperious Megatron as he is. Traitors and disgraces such as Starscream and Lockdown are not worthy of mention, let alone being in the presence of the glorious Megatron. Granted, even magnanimous Megatron himself can get a little tired of Lugnut’s praises, but he keeps it to himself, lest Lugnut should lose faith in mighty Megatron.

Blitzwing not only has three modes (robot, jet, and tank), he also has three alternate personalities (an “icy” cold strategist, a short-tempered “hothead”, and a total “random” nutcase) along with the faces rattling around in his head to go with them. He’s as liable to have a conversation with himself as he is to say a word to his fellow Decepticons. Pretty much the only thing that keeps him in line is that all three of his personalities are scared to death of Megatron.

Blitzwing’s icy personality is represented by a long, blue face with a monocle and speaks with quiet disdain. His easily angered hothead personality has a wide red face and is gap-toothed, making him look and sound like a certain Austrian musclehead. Finally, his random personality’s face looks like nothing so much as a black jack-o’-lantern and just sounds hysterical. All three personalities have a German accent, and apparently he has trouble flying in a straight line.

Blitzwing’s armament varies depending upon which personality is dominant at the time. His calculating personality has an arsenal of ice weaponry, while the hothead predictably can bring the heat. When his third personality is foremost, nearly anything can be dished out from either of his vehicle modes. Blitzwing’s alt-mode is likewise usually dependent on which aspect is dominant at the time. His cold side favors the jet, his angry side favors the tank, and his insane side has no favorites. It even goes so far that if he becomes angry enough during flight, he transforms into tank mode. It’s possible for Blitzwing to fire conventional explosive missiles while in jet mode when he’s angry or crazy, but that rarely happens. Most likely, he can use icy attacks while he’s in tank mode as well, but this has never happened on screen.

Basically, he’s the Purple Baron…or a Panzer that can walk…or just a purple lunatic.

Starscream is easily as accomplished, powerful and deserving of leadership as Megatron. At least, that’s what he thinks. Power-hungry and driven by jealousy, Starscream operates through three ideals: lying, manipulation and deception. And when all else fails, a bit of sabotage never goes astray. Wise bots are careful about turning their backs on Starscream, just in case it’s the day he finally decides to shove in the knife.

Though not as powerful as Megatron (despite what he thinks of himself), Starscream is by no means a wimp. His null-rays can demolish large buildings, and he can fly around so fast that he can break free of Ratchet’s magnetic powers. Unfortunately, all these abilities are offset by an enormous ego and the tendency to make long, overbearing speeches when he should just get on it with and fight. More than once, his leanings towards bombast have caused him to miss a golden opportunity. Sadly, he doesn’t seem to be learning from these mistakes.

If you were to ask Megatron to describe himself in one word, he’d probably go with “heroic”. He sees himself as a freedom fighter, leading the Decepticons out of the days of “Autobot tyranny”. The fact he’s hoping to replace that with Decepticon tyranny isn’t really a concern. A fanatic at spark, he revels in every Autobot who suffers at Decepticon hands and doesn’t register humans as anything more than “collateral damage.”

Megatron demands loyalty from the Decepticons, loyalty he gains by his awe-inspiring power. With the combined threat of a sharp mind, his fusion cannon, a pair of deadly swords and simple brute strength, there aren’t many who’d dare cross him. Still, he has no problem manhandling troops as a gentle reminder.

The loss of his body and former power was only a minor setback for him, as Megatron proved a master manipulator. He effortlessly duped Isaac Sumdac into helping him–and once Megatron was restored to full power, he turned the tables on his old captor.

He is extremely intolerant of treachery and deals with said treacherous bots with a vicious no-nonsense efficiency, unlike other Decepticon leaders. He is a shrewd strategist and effortlessly wraps others around his fingers.
